Showing up in their bright new uniforms, the Modsquaders tallied twenty three hits en route to a 18-7 drubbing over Woodward and Curran.

Wednesday's game marked the return of a few fan favorites, each of whom playing major parts in the Modsquad victory.

2008 MVP Chris Iannantuoni returned after a nasty battle with the H1N1 Virus, going 4-4 with three doubles, one triple, three runs scored and four runs batted in.

Scott Berns, again delivering clutch hits and quality health care, also went 4-4, doubling once and driving in two runs. All this while attending to his favorite patient, Eric Klein, who was once again bleeding profusely and in need of medical attention.

Rob Lucas
, the team's defensive Field General at first base, returned to shore up a position that was a weak spot in the 2009 Opening Day loss. Lucas also added an RBI in the fifth inning.

Apparently Todd Dias homered, but everyone was too busy arguing (over whether to give him a single or a double) to notice.

Its not our standard operating procedure to poke fun at the other team, but come on, that pitcher was asking for it. Honestly, who shows up to a game wearing a Hooters shirt, pitching like he's trying out for the lead in "West Side Story" and then throwing numerous temper tantrums on the field?

Modsquad photographer Kristen Bladel displayed perfect timing, catching the pitcher with his pants down (literally) after arguing with the umpire (he thought Rob Lucas tried to trip him).

Pete Coletta held the opposing team to seven runs, same as the first game but with a better outcome the second time around. Despite giving up three home runs, he was able to chalk up his first win of the season.

  3. #4 Said,

Perhaps if one particular outfielder could learn to catch a ball, the game could have been much shorter...

    Latte Anyone?
