Modsquad utility man and displaced Minnesotan Kyle Bobek went to the Yankees-Rays game last night, looking to start a bit of trouble.
The renegade #5 hitter showed up to Yankee Stadium wearing a baseball cap that didn't sport the world famous interlocking "NY". Rather, he was wearing the hated Minnesota Twins hat.
Bobek, 26, attended the game for one reason only; to get a rise out of any Yankee fan that passed his way;
"Oh you know it, I'm gonna let it be know that there's a Twins fan in the Stadium tonight. I'll be keeping one eye on the Out of Town Scoreboard and the other on anyone looking for some action," said Bobek, clearly suffering from some form of delusion.
Fellow Modsquader Nick DiFranza pointed out that "by the time Yankee faithful are done tormenting every Red Sox fan, Mets fan, Rays fan, Cowboys Fan, Manchester United Fan, LA Sparks Fan, Independent League Fan, the Beer Guy, the Peanut vendor who can't throw, the 5 year old who can't catch a foul ball, the guy who tries to propose to his wife via the stadium scoreboard, and anyone with a last name that ends with a vowel, then yeah, I'm sure they'll turn their attention to the kid wearing a Twins hat."
Sadly, that moment never came for Bobek;
"There was this one time during the fourth inning, I went to grab a hot dog and another guy and I arrived at the same cashier at the same time, but it never escalated past pleasantries."
