Prior to the start of Tuesday's Modsquad game against the hapless law firm/softball team Woodward and Curran, many players and fans were left wondering where their star right center fielder was.
"To be totally honest," said one Modsquad player, "I didn't even notice he wasn't at the game. I didn't realize Dias was missing until I checked my inbox, and there wasn't a single email regarding stat corrections. That's when I began to worry."
It is very unusual for the sweet swinging lefty to miss a game, let alone not tell anyone that he wasn't going to be there.
When asked to comment on the story, Modsquad Skipper Brogdon replied "I'm sorry, I can't hear you, the sunshine here in Florida is deafening."
Some Modsquaders speculate that Dias was "headed into the mountains", a seemingly cryptic message.
Dias is currently batting .548, leading to some speculation that his disappearance is calculated in hopes to keep his batting average at this remarkable number.
