According to multiple news sources (twitter, facebook, anyone within a 5 mile radius of Kristen Bladel) Modsquad left fielder Chris Lima and Superfan/Photographer/Scorekeeper Kristen Bladel are now officially engaged.

First off, we'd like to offer our condolences to the Bladel family.

Lima, currently batting .500 on the season, insisted that the move was not in attempts to change the scorecard from Tuesday night's win over SAMS/GLM. Lima reached base all four times in the game, but three were on what the scorekeeper (Bladel) had listed as errors;

"No, asking her to marry me was not my secret ploy to get the scorebook to be changed in my favor," said Lima, "although it couldn't hurt".

Lima said he convinced Bladel to go out for ice cream, and took her down by the Hudson River.
For those of you not familiar with the Hudson River, it smells like rotting eggs.

Kudos to you, Mr. Romantic.

According to a phone call to this Modsquad reporter, Bladel kept asking if it (the ring or proposal) was actually real, as nobody ever expected this day to come.

Congratulations to both avid members of Modsquad Nation.

There is no confirmation as of yet that Lima's tuxedos are going to be purple, updates when they come.

    Yup...it was a nice try though #22, especially since you did have a lot on your mind that game (hehe) but I gots to stick to the rule book. And I think the words spoken were "be still my heart..I LOVE ICE CREAM" just to clarify the convincing part...hehe! :) IT'S REAL!! :) Speechless!
    Not sure if anyone knows..but I AM SUPER EXCITED!! That's my super excited face! :)
    GO MODSQUAD!!
