Modsquad bats exacted revenge on Sams/GLM last night, besting the team who beat them on Opening Day.

The Boys in Purple scorched the opposition for twelve runs, all without their star center fielder Iannantuoni, who was lying on a beach somewhere doing absolutely nothing.

The 2008 MVP's fill in, Greg, went 2-2 with four runs batted in and made a couple of nice plays in center. Greg also exhibited his ability to successfully hit the cut off on multiple throws into the infield.

Todd Dias collected three hits from the leadoff spot. Dias reclaimed his spot atop the order after Bruce Lin was reinstated on the DL due to knee problems.

Modsquad shortstop Nick Difranza made a handful of highlight reel plays and added two hits.

Kyle Bobek broke out of a season long slump by collecting two hits in last night's game, and was calling an excellent game behind the plate before an injury to Alfrin Vallejo forced him to shift to right.

After openly admitting to pushing John Leahy down a flight of stairs in order to reclaim the second base job, Frank Vitale singled and scored a run and played solid defense throughout the Modsquad victory.

Are you sure #4 wasn't really covertly playing for the other team?

  2. #22 Said,

Positive, none of the other players were eating black jelly beans.

  3. #16 Said,

    #7 got two hits?

  4. Unknown Said,

I am appealing to the league

    Latte Anyone?
