Modsquad bats stayed hot, and defense and pitching paved the way for another win for the boys in RGB 155, 95, 181.

Nick Difranza and Pete Coletta each had 3 RBIs en route to a 17-3 whooping of JP Morgan. In their past three games, Modsquad bats have overpowered the competition, outscoring their opponents by a 42-10 margin.

The game began as a nail biter, starting off with two innings with the score close at 2-1. In the third inning, Chris Iannantuoni lead off the inning with a walk, sparking the team to four run inning. After a quick fourth inning led to no runs, Iannantuoni led off again in the bottom half of the fifth, and the Modsquad never looked back.

In total, eleven batters were sent to the plate in the inning, and ten of them scored, causing the umpires to call the game on account of the mercy rule.

Fan attendance was at an all time high yesterday, with the notable return of ex-Modimers Christine Lazzari and Joshua Springer. Mr. and Mrs. Lima made it to the game on time this week, and no one was stung by a bee. Thanks again to all the fans who made the trek out to support the team.

  1. Anonymous Said,

MVP this season has got to be coletta supported by our new players. while we had fine pitching performances from our rotation last year, the good to great difference is clear this year.
