WHITE PLAINS, NYAfter falling behind early (10-1) Modsquad and company rallied back, winning in the bottom of the ninth inning after Todd Dias singled home Nick DiFranza.

The Modsquad defeated last year's champion, SAMS/GLM. As Modsquad short stop DiFranza put it "2008 is a whole new season".

After being held in check for the first five innings, the Modsquad erupted for eight runs in the six inning, knotting the score at 10.

Both teams scored runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth, until Dias' RBI sent both teams home.

Both Chris' had four hits each, while David Horne drove in three runs.

Rookie gem Kyle Bobek collected three hits and "called" one of the best games in Modsquad's brief history.

Frank Vitale, the Modsquad's second baseman, was the target of multiple vicious take out slides, courtesy of SAMS/GLM base runners.

Peter Coletta held on to collect the first win of the season.
