Despite a six run rally in the fifth inning, GRP was able to fend off the surging Modsquad en route to a 8-6 victory.

The loss ended the Modsquad's season.

The Modsquad continued to build off last season's success, making the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

GRP was able to beat the Modsquad for the third time this season, thanks to some timely hitting and excellent positioning of the middle and center fielder while playing in the field. Scott Berns is still shaking his head in response to being robbed in each of his three at bats.

Leading the team in hitting were the two C's (Iannantuoni and Lima each had two hits) and Todd Dias (one hit, one walk).

The Squad attempted to make a comeback in the fifth, sparked by a leadoff double by Big Joel. The Boys in Purple then racked up five consecutive hits and a sac fly by John Leahy brought the Modsquad to within one run.

1 Response to "GRP Completes Season Sweep of Squad; End Playoff Run"

  1. Jennifer Said,

If I may suggest two things for the 2010 season...The DeMarini F-4 and a little estrogen on your team to get that slugging percentage up.

    Latte Anyone?
