In an emotional rematch of the 2008 Championship Series, Modsquad gloves and bats won a decisive victory over Reuters, 11-5.

Strong offensive performances by Nick Difranza and Todd Dias initially gave the Modsquad an early lead. Difranza had two doubles and two rbi, while Dias drove in three runs on two clutch singles in the fifth and in the seventh.

Pete Coletta rebounded from his two previous starts in which he was lifted in favor of the relief corps; Coletta managed to hold Reuters to only five runs. Reuters scored ten and six runs in games one and two of the Championship Series last season.

Chris Iannantuoni continued his ownership of the batter's box, collecting another two hits and scoring three runs.

Chris Lima continued his best attempts at impersonating Chad Curtis in left field and was the only Modsquad outfielder to successfully hit the cut off man. (We're working on that, by the way).
