According to their mission statement posted on the company's website: "Woodard & Curran is a 500-person, integrated engineering, science, and operations company. Privately held and steadily growing, we serve public and private clients locally and nationwide."

Apparently, none of the 500+ rocket scientists can figure out an Excel Sheet that has their softball team's schedule written on it.

Woodward and Curran failed to show up to Delfino Park and receive the beating a Modsquad team was so eager to hand out. With the forfeit, Modsquad won and clinched the first place seed for the playoffs. The first playoff game will be this Tuesday, September 2nd at 5:45.

Instead of going home and enjoying their easy win, the Modsquad split into two squads and scrimmaged each other. The result; a 4-1 "Purple Team" win over the "White Team". In a game that required each team to pull the ball, teams of six battled for Modsquad supremacy.

Purple Team --- White Team
1B: Rob Lucas --- Kyle Bobek
IF: Nick Difranza --- John Leahy
IF: Eric Klein --- Alan Brogdon
OF: Bruce Lin --- Todd Dias
OF: Chris Lima --- Chris Iannantuoni
Pitcher: Mike Lima --- Peter Coletta

In a game that saw the most pitching changes since Todd Dezen took the hill back in 2007, both Modsquad teams sent five pitchers to the hill in what was turning out to be an audition for the 2-5 slots in the rotation.

Modsquad fans Kristen, Lisa, and Lori were treated to a well played game; the defense looked sharp, the offense was hitting the ball on the screws, and the base running aspect of the game (Modsquad's Achilles Heel) was pretty impressive.
