MODSQUAD bats kept the ball rolling, and with a little nifty defense and a strong pitch calling presence behind the plate, the boys in purple were able to knock off TwoFour by a score of 14-2.

Batting first, the MODSQUAD struck for two runs thanks to RBIs by Nick Difranza and Rob Lucas, but TwoFour answered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning. That was the closest the game ever got.

In the second, Bruce Lin led off with a single and the flood gates opened; five runs scored, two on a costly throwing error by the TwoFour first baseman.

The third inning was more of the same; TwoFour mental lapses allowed four runs to cross the plate as Eric Klein and Chris I both drove in runs.

The fourth inning sealed the deal, with three runs scoring, putting the MODSQUAD up for good.

With the win, the MODSQUAD needs to win this Friday to clinch the top seed in the playoffs. It was this time last season that the Modsquad began their historic run to capture the fourth seed in the playoffs.
